Ulster County resident Shane Burr, of Highland, was charged on Monday, Oct. 2 and charged with burglary and petit larceny.
According to the town of Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, Burr, who has 23 previous arrests, was caught after officers responded to a burglary in progress at the Asian Garden Restaurant in Highland.
Officers conducted a search of the business and found Burr inside the restaurant stealing cash, Janson said.
Burr who is on probation was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
He is due back in the Town of Lloyd Court on Thursday, Oct. 5.
